Singing And Speaking At Oneida Church Of God

What a great night! It is always worth making the trip to be over with Oneida COG! There is always great love and fellowship and most importantly the freedom to be able to be who God has called you to be! I cannot always say that it is everywhere you go that you get that vibe! I hope they continue to make that something that people are able to grab a hold of and enjoy. That’s what I was thinking about as people were coming up and speaking with me and the family: how wonderful to reach out to those even if you think they already “should know” that they are loved. Sometimes the continual pursuit for encouragement of those around you is the very thing that keeps the foundation of a church super-strong!

We preached a message about prayer and where it stands in our lives. We hope to get it on the site in the near future, so be sure to check that one out! There were people that came to the altar for prayer but in my heart I always know there is more that are in true need of a touch from God. Please, please, please do not ever forsake the value of your altar service! We lingered for quite a while and it was more than enough of an ample opportunity for people to consider coming up for help. Sometimes we miss that because we don’t want to keep people too late, etc. My advice is…don’t worry about it! If people are still there, they want to be, and if they need to go for a reason and circumstance then simply be understanding to it! Then, when you have done all that you can do you don’t walk away from a service wondering if you reached out all that you could, for it is better to reach out with all your might than to not reach out at all!

The church blessed us greatly, and we hope to see them again sometime soon!

Speaking At Braden’s Chapel Baptist Church VBS

Where can I begin? First of all, I want to thank Nick Goins for giving me an opportunity to come and be a part of their outreach to their youth. I’m always very honored to get to come and be a part of anything that we can do to send the word of Christ to the youth of today.

I’m not exactly sure if any of the people that are members of the church will be reading this anytime soon, but I feel like writing this for anyone that is needing some encouragement in the fight for youth outreach.

When I was speaking and sharing the testimony that God has done for me, I’m sure there might have been some at the time that could have cared less about what I was trying to say. I’m sure that we have been standing for God many times and felt like that we were not making a difference. As I continued, I could begin to see how the spirit was beginning to work on those around me. I began to see the conviction working on their faces, even in their eyes. It was such a sweet sight to see how God was working in the youth there. If I could say anything, I would say to that church (and any church) that kids are “right there”, ready for Jesus Christ to be a part of their life!

We always have to remember that we have to keep going forward as the leaders that surround them. We have to be willing to hear a million “nos” so we can get to that one “yes” for Christ! To make a long story short, one (a youth) came on this night and asked Christ into their life to be saved! An adult came to simply pray for help in their life. It just goes to show that if you keep working for God, that he will perform the work in their lives!

It was a wonderful experience, and we hope to come back and be with the church sometime soon!

Singing And Speaking At Beacon Of Light

What better way to begin writing about this other than talking about what the night was for: the Lord God!

The presence of the Lord was surely abundant and ready to help whosoever would come! We only sang a couple of songs, but it was easy to do nonetheless! We always feel free and welcome when we go. The message was about as long as the last one, haha. I hope to have it on the web site in about a week. I get them on here as quick as I can. I hope that it blesses you! Enough about us!

The drama team there did an amazing job with the songs that they sang together. They even have enough youth to have their own praise band! I was totally digging that! They had at least two or three of them testify and it just blew us away! After their songs they performed 3 different dramas, and they were awesome! One in particular, performed to the song “Who Am I” by Casting Crowns was something that will reach out and bless anyone who sees it. As Rebekah said later in the night, they just do not realize what kind of program they have right now. We encourage the Beacon of Light to continue their focus on their youth! They truly are that generation ready to serve God.

Thanks to all of our regular church members and special visitors and friends for coming out and showing the support as well! You have no idea what it does for us sometimes!

It was truly a great miracle that we made it there! For me and my wife, it was just one of those days in traffic and a reminder that the ministry is not always going to be a bed of roses but is well worth the road trips!

I was so thrilled to have all of the family there. We call ourselves “Heart of Grace” as a trio (Me, Rebekah and Mona), but we have sang as an entire family (with Regina, Kay, and Dan) for many years. People sometimes just assume that people are glad or happy or that they feel the way that they do, but I like giving roses where they are due. We are a very tightly-knit family, and I appreciate what God had planned for us long ago. Everyone has a special place and part and without each part it just is not as special!
