Looking At The Watch? Time For A Test Of Patience!

We can often compare our prayers to God sometimes like a person waiting on another standing there looking at their watch. They are impatiently waiting upon that person to do their part so they can do nothing and be satisfied. Does that speak to you?

Sometimes I could categorize prayers in the past times in my life to be complaint prayers, piety prayers, confusion prayers; the list goes on and on. I know more than anyone about having to stand and wait upon the Lord. In times when your back is against the wall, it’s hard to pray from the depths of your heart and truly mean “Lord I’m waiting and trusting in You that You are going to perform Your perfect will in this situation”.

When we begin to get in these situations, I have found that I can refresh my patience with my testimonies. Sure, I am waiting on God for 500 things. However, God has blessed me millions of times. Millions! More than I could ever say in a lifetime. If I wrote a post every minute for the rest of my life of the good things, I could not accomplish getting out every good thing God has done. I have to remind myself that “If God has helped me before, He’ll do it again”.

If God has performed His will before in your life, God will do it again. Continually seek God for peace and do not let impatience rule steal your joy. Do not let your situations steal away your prayer life. Let your prayers be led by faith, and let your walk with God and your witness to others be driven by the glory that will be revealed in you.

A final word of encouragement this day (you could even say it out loud): I have been blessed by God before, I am blessed by God now, and I will continue to be blessed by God in my future!

Every Contribution Counts!

When we look around and consider how many things are going on in the world that we live in, one thing is obvious to me: there are needs to be met. People are sick, people are lost, people are hungry, people need direction, people are depressed, people are fading in the church, etc, etc, etc.

I couldn’t begin to tell you how that if I began to pray in the morning and kept on resolving every thought that came across my mind in prayer that I could never conquer it in a day, week, year, or a lifetime. And yet, in our everyday lives, we count ourselves so small to have no power to help to do anything anymore. Let me be one of the many in this day and time to remind you: Every part counts!

Every person that God created was special. Every person that God made has a given purpose, and something to offer for someone out there. Don’t feel like you come short simply because of the people you are around or the church you go to. If people push you in a corner and don’t make you feel like you can do anything great where you are, do something spectacular on your own. The efforts of one that is willing are sometimes far greater than the efforts of ten thousand that have an attitude.

Be obedient in the gifts and callings of God! Reach out and speak an encouraging word of love today! Don’t forget, and remind yourself of how wonderful that God has been to you, and simply return that selflessness in some way to others! You will not regret it!

Embracing Your Family

This goes against our normal form and fashion of how I normally post things, but I just wanted to share a thought that was on my mind. It took me a very long time to realize this, so please pay attention very closely.

A family is like a garden. Older plants give seed to new ones. A plant will birth, bloom, and wilt away ONLY ONCE. Some are different then others, but all have a very special purpose in their lifetime. Once a plant has existed its lifespan, then that’s it. We cannot rewind time. So always admire the good things of each family member; for we do not know when their blooming ends. And more then that, do it more than just 2 or 3 holidays a year. Life is too short to put it off anymore!

I came across a verse that literally broke my heart when i read it.

Proverbs 30:11 says, “There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.”

Let’s not be as that generation that it talks about, let’s go above and beyond in showing our love for all that we have around us. Don’t wait, don’t wait, don’t wait!!!!

Today is the day you should call them, just to say that you love them. Today is the day you go and do something out of charity that you were not obligated to do. Today is the day you go and spend time with them just because.

2 Corinthians 6: 2 says: “For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

Why am I saying all of this? There are mothers and fathers out there who need God to perform a miracle in their life, who need to be healed from their diseases, but most of all, to have salvation applied in their life. Not only just mothers and fathers, but the rest of your family as well!

A person can be good by their deeds, but with God, can be good and blessed as well. Don’t give up on your prayers for them! Stay determined, and you will see them call out on the Lord. I believe that with all that is within me!
