Take a Stand!

Ephesians 6:10-14

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

When you are doing the best you can and are being hung out to dry it is hard to keep a smile on your face. When you feel alone in the struggle and no one hears your cry on earth it is easy to feel abandoned by everyone. It could be your family, your friends, your church members, your coworkers, and your closest companion. My reminder to you is that when your armor has been tested and you are standing when no one else will to continue to stand until God has the final say. If you give up before your breakthrough then all of your endurance was for the enemy to have glory and say “look what I did to this one”. If you walk away before your appointed time then you may miss out on the blessing that was meant for you at the end of the trial.

Stand, my friends. You are not alone. You have someone with you who will not give up. You have someone that will be with you where you are and will open the door to the next exciting chapter of your life! God will be with you as you take your stand!

God Is The Equalizer In Present Difficulty

Sounds like a boring title, right? Even the concept when thought upon is the kind of thought that we already know yet when understood in real application becomes fully realized.

There have been many situations as of late in my life that I thought that would have been super easy to overcome. You know, little things, small issues, minor confrontations, etc. In my mind before such things came about I honestly felt like I was ready for as we say “anything”. When a person is in the preparation phase you tend to have a great lot of faith and confidence that seems to flee when trouble decides to come around! As we read this passage:

Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of persons with God. (Romans 2:9-11)

I know and am thankful for the balance that God created for all of us. When people act as though they are better than you, please know and remember that this is behavior that is out of balance of the word of God. I encourage you to use the great love of God to overcome any situations where you feel this kind of act coming against you.

Knowing that God had no respect of person humbles me to know that when God delivered me from my addictions that I found God the same as one who may have failed less than I. I am also thankful that even when people choose not to embrace the power of worship that this does not prohibit the ability for others to enjoy it also.

Here is the revelation that God gave me: there is no situation where God does not provide the balance for us. None!

As we pray and seek God greater there is a comfort in times of trouble, peace in times when we lack understanding, and joy as our strength when we are in a state of weakness:

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)

So in closing I would strongly urge you to never forget that you always have God and even when it seems the situation is lopsided that God is there watching over all with no respect of person. In fact, that same love he shares for all will bring us together as we learn to live in his love!
